Our Mission
The Inter-Faith Food Shuttle, in the belief that hunger is unacceptable, alleviates hunger by developing systems to recover, prepare and distribute wholesome, perishable food for the area's poor, hungry, undernourished and homeless.
Our History
In 1989, two women, Maxine Solomon and Jill Staton Bullard, witnessed breakfast sandwiches being thrown away in a fast food restaurant because it was time to put out lunch items. From that inauspicious beginning, the Food Shuttle has grown to be a powerful hunger relief organization providing food for thousands every day.
